Nolan has a strong fan following in India. It is rare for a country to be following a director rather than a star. Call it PR or genuine appreciation, but the social media has been abuzz with speculations as to what exactly 'Tenet' is. Some people have even gone to the extent of saying that this film is actually a sequel to Nolan's Inception.
One more reason for this excitement has been the presence of the Indian star Dimple Kapadia. I doubt how many films of hers the Millennial remember and have seen, but just the fact Bollywood is involved has raised expectations even more.
But here is a dampener: The release for the film has been postponed indefinitely. Undeterred by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Nolan has been adamant about releasing the film in theaters. Though, the Indian release for the film, along with 70 other countries. had been locked for August 12, , this date has again been postponed indefinitely.
But don't lose hope fans, Warner Bros. have confirmed that the film is set for an "imminent release" this year only.
