Eagerly Awaited: i am thinking of ending things

Charlie Kaufman is back!

The brilliant screenwriter Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Adaptation, Being John Malkovich) is back to directing after the mysterious and probable future classic Synecdoche , New York

Starring Jessie Buckley as a girl who makes a trip to her parents' (Toni Collette and David Thewlis) secluded farm with a boyfriend she dislikes (Jesse Plemons) Once there she starts to question everything she knew about her life - including her boyfriend, her parents and her childhood.

The film is based on the novel of the same title by Ian Reid.

Both Collette (Hereditary, The Sixth Sense) and Thewlis (Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban, Naked) are thespians who never disappoint and the new blood is equally exciting.

But the cast is just an icing on the cake as the real star here is Kaufman himself. His last film as a writer was the surreal animated piece Anamolisa and it has been about two decades since he directed a film.

This film offers the same promise of quirkiness (the title is in all lower cases, to begin with), surrealism and depth of emotion.

The film starts streaming at September 4th on wards. That's also my birthday, so thanks Netflix!
